Mission The Brunswick Historical Society shall bring together those persons interested in the discovery, collection, and preservation of historical materials as they relate to the Town of Brunswick and Rensselaer County, New York. The Society shall also encourage and promote the preservation of historical buildings, cemeteries, monuments, and markers of local importance. The Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization chartered by the New York State Board of Regents since 1981. In accord with the Society's Absolute Charter, the Society continually meets the requirements of the Board of Regents, including research, collections management, and providing programs and interpretive activities for the educational benefit of the public. Education Initiatives For the past few years, members of the Brunswick Historical Society have been working in collaboration with local teachers and students, fostering an appreciation of our community's history. Brunswick Veterans Memorial Park Brick Project Orders for bricks to be placed in the newly renovated Veterans Memorial Park, located on Route 2 in the hamlet of Eagle Mills, are still being accepted. If you would like to know more about the project, please click here. As of February 29th 2008, checks for orders should be made payable to  the Brunswick Historical Society and sent to P.O. Box 1776, Cropseyville, NY 12052. Please note: If you desire your brick to be placed by Memorial Day, orders should be sent ASAP, as installation after April 15th will not be possible.
